Corporate Health Award 2024
For the 16th time, EUPD Research, together with Handelsblatt Media Group, presented the renowned Corporate Health Award to the healthiest companies in Germany.
For an article on the topic of air quality in the workplace, Euromate was interviewed.
‘Taking a deep breath’ - Interview with Euromate in “Handelsblatt”
Healthy air quality in offices and industry
‘An employer who pays attention to health as well as professional performance? That is what many employees want – and increasingly demand,’ writes Andreas Schulte in Handelsblatt at the presentation of the Corporate Health Award 2024, the most prestigious award for excellent occupational health management in Germany. The award has been presented for 16 years by the Bonn-based market research and certification institute EUPD Research and the Handelsblatt – Germany’s largest business and financial newspaper. The award ceremony took place on 10 December 2024.
Germany’s healthiest companies honoured
Joshua Baaken, head of project management at EUPD Research and responsible for the Corporate Health Award, comments: ‘More and more companies are recognising that social sustainability and strategically aligned health management are crucial to their future viability.’
In the run-up to reporting on the presentation of the Corporate Health Award 2024, Jan Wittenbrink researched the topic of air quality in the workplace for Handelsblatt. His aim: to present solutions for healthy air in companies; in addition to solutions for office environments, the focus was also to be on industrial halls. During his research, Wittenbrink also came across Euromate’s technical solutions and asked for an interview. Senol Göktas, our sales manager for Germany, was happy to do so.
A combination of measures
‘The Westerwald-based company in Germany produces air cleaning solutions for manufacturing, such as filter systems suspended from the ceiling in industrial halls,’ Wittenbrink writes in the article titled: ‘Deep breaths’. In the interview, Senol makes it clear that there is not one solution for healthy, clean air in industrial plants, but a whole package – from dust extraction at source, ventilation and adequate cleaning, long-term air quality measurements to air cleaning with industrial air filtration systems.
Euromate supplies air filtration systems from Breda to numerous countries in Europe and beyond. In Germany, among others, a significant number of companies in the wood and paper processing, packaging, logistics, metal processing and service industries rely on the devices.
It all comes down to awareness
‘Poor air quality in the workplace makes people unproductive or even sick – but not every company is aware of this,’ summarises Jan Wittenbrink in the Handelsblatt article. Awareness of a healthy working environment, which includes healthy air, is important – this is also the concern of Senol Göktas and the entire Euromate team.
Therefore, Senol was happy to be available for the interview and, along with everyone working at Euromate, congratulates the winners of the Corporate Health Award, as well as the initiators of the prize, because anything that helps create awareness about healthcare in the workplace improves health and saves lives.
What does Senol wish journalist Jan Wittenbrink? Healthy air in his workplace, of course, and that his article in Handelsblatt finds many readers!
