The importance of healthy air in the timber industry
On Tuesday 8 October, we proudly participated as a partner in the ‘Woodworld Practic Day’, an event that brings together wood industry professionals to talk about practical experiences, innovations and key themes within the sector. The day provided the perfect opportunity for us to engage in raising awareness around air quality and workplace safety in the wood industry.
Healthy air: an essential issue for the wood industry
The wood industry is known for its challenging working conditions, where dust and particulate matter are constantly present. These substances not only pose a risk to workers’ health, but can also pose a hazard in the form of explosion risks when it accumulates. This was addressed by several speakers during the Wood World Practice Day.
As experts in air cleaning, we were present to present our solutions that contribute to a healthier and safer working environment. It was good to see that there was a lot of interest in the topic of air quality from the participants, especially in preventing explosions due to particulate matter accumulation and improving general air quality in the workplace.
Our latest solutions in the spotlight
During the event, we presented some of our latest innovations, including the DFI 30 air cleaner, the Air Safety Portal, and our fine dust sensors. These solutions are specifically designed for industrial environments such as the wood sector, where airborne dust is a constant problem.
- The DFI 30 air cleaner is a powerful solution that continuously cleans the air of harmful dust particles. This directly contributes to a healthier working environment, promoting productivity and safety in the workplace.
- The Air Safety Portal provides insight into air quality in the workplace and enables real-time monitoring. This enables companies to take immediate action when air quality drops below the norm, benefiting both health and safety.
- Our fine dust sensors provide accurate measurements of the amount of dust particles in the air. This data is crucial for proactive action and also serves as input for your risk assessment.
At the end of the event, several visitors went home with a fine dust meter, which they can use themselves to monitor air quality in their businesses.
Healthy air as a basis for a safer working environment
We look back on a successful day, during which we had many valuable discussions with professionals from the timber industry. The importance of healthy indoor air is a core theme for us, and we were pleased to find that this is also a hot topic at many companies.
