In the ‘minor surgery’ outpatient facility of LangeLand Hospital minor operations are performed for the Surgery department, with outpatient care. This room inside the building (without windows) generated complaints about stuffiness and unpleasant smells. The problems could not be solved by means of the exiting air conditioning system or ventilation. In 2007 Euromate got in touch with the LangeLand Hospital to introduce the CarbonMax filter.
The CarbonMax filter consists of activated carbon which has the unique property of adsorbing unpleasant smells, gases and vapours. During the introduction interview the ‘minor surgery’ outpatient facility soon came up. The main complaints being: stuffiness and unpleasant smells. Leánne Lovink: “Thanks to the excellent performance of the air cleaner, the complaints about stuffiness and unpleasant smells disappeared. An ideal solution which can be applied on a small scale; additionally to the existing air conditioning system.”
