With its head office in Remshalden, the Klingele Group is one of the five largest producers of corrugated cardboard and corrugated cardboard packaging in Germany. The company develops complete packaging and logistics solutions for customers. Klingele also supplies customers throughout Europe with packaging through its ‘Blue Box Partners’ partnership.
The company has been developing new solutions in the corrugated cardboard industry for nearly 100 years – smart, efficient, high-quality corrugated cardboard packaging solutions, ranging from simple transport packaging to striking POS packaging and effective displays.

Klingele Golfkarton in Nijmegen has been part of the Klingele Group since 2007. The site produces small and large quantities for bespoke products. Klingele Golfkarton specialises in just-in-time deliveries, copackaging and set-up stations.
Pascal Burhenne, plant manager: ‘The site cuts corrugated cardboard in a continuous process, which produces a lot of particulate matter. Fine particulate is harmful to health, and our employees’ well-being is very important to us. Absence due to illness is not a major problem, but we do notice higher than average absence amongst the production team when compared to the office team. Before we relocated to our new premises, we investigated the air cleaning options that were available to us. Once we had settled in our new location, we immediately got to work and got in contact with one of the advisors at Euromate. ‘

‘As part of our search for the right solution, we spoke to Euromate and with another party. The feeling that we got from Euromate, and from the solution that they were offering in 2021 for the production hall – six industrial air cleaners with matching filter package – was very close to my own idea of what we needed,’ explains Pascal Burhenne. In 2022, also Klingele’s logistics area has been equipped with DFI’s in order to reduce the fine dust there.
Pascal goes on, ‘The promise to filter 85% to 90% of the particulate from the air has certainly been met. I regularly walk through the production area, and there is clearly a lot less particulate in the air and on our machinery. That gives employees working in that area a much more pleasant feeling. The filters’ self-control function is also impressive. We are notified automatically when the filters are saturated and need to be replaced. That way, we always have a wellfunctioning unit. This winter will be the first with these air cleaners and we are curious to see what the outcome will be in terms of energy savings.’
The air circulation from the units means that the hot air doesn’t just rise but is circulated around the entire area. Euromate customers have indicated that this has resulted in up to 30% less energy consumption.
