Introduction Kifinesta
Kifinesta is a painting business specialising in the treatment of boats and ships. Johan and Carolien Rooswinkel are the highly experienced and committed driving forces beyond Kifinesta, and they can often be found in their workshop in Harlingen working on several projects at once – sanding, treating and painting boats and ships.

The sanding process produces large quantities of particulate. Kifinesta did have a solution to the problem that forced the particulate outside, but it also took the warm air with it, resulting in high energy bills. It was an inefficient approach that caused Carolien and Johan to look for an alternative solution. Carolien Rooswinkel explains: “As there’s always so much dust in the air, we have to spend a lot of time cleaning before we can paint. If we’re working on two projects at once, we often have to cover over the other one, and it costs us an awful lot of time and money. We needed a new and powerful solution!’

“We went online to look for a proper solution to our problem, and that’s when we came into contact with Euromate,” says Carolien. They acquired two HFE-25 + SFM-25 combinations on a rental basis. The unit is mounted on a trolley, allowing the air cleaner to be moved around the workshop to do its work wherever it’s needed. Carolien continues: “We’re delighted with the air cleaner. It takes away three quarters of the dust while we’re sanding, and saves us so much time on cleaning and covering. We also like having the warm air stay inside and evenly distributed around the room. The air is cleaner, we really notice it!” The air cleaner is set to its maximum setting while they are sanding, and it’s also left on overnight. The next day, the workshop is free of particulate and they can start painting immediately.
HF-Series
Euromate’s HFE unit is a very effective and efficient system for filtering dust particles. Even welding fumes and oily mist pose no problem for this system. The HFE system is built around an electrostatic filter and has an integrated fan.

- Energy-saving – dust, removed from the air through ventilation and conveyed outside, involves high energy costs thanks to heat loss and the need to reheat fresh air coming in. The HFE unit filters air according to the air-recirculation principle, whereby heated air is recirculated and can be conveyed back downwards. This helps to reduce heating costs.
- Reusable electrostatic filters that can can be cleaned were preferred for reasons of environmental and cost awareness.
