Introduction HWW Care
HWW Care (Hague District and WoonZorg) is a contemporary, social and modern enterprise in the field of health care, housing and welfare. In 2009 the operations and employees of acquired Meavita Hague. With 2,350 employees and 9,000 clients HWW Care is a key player in the region. One of the locations of HWW Care is nursing the Eshoeve.
In and from The Eshoeve they provide care, counseling, treatment and nursing to clients who live here for a long time. But also to clients who have to follow a treatment for a short time and rehabilitation after hospitalization.

In 2007 there were complaints from residents and visitors out of the board of clients. They complained about odour. It turned out that odour and smell nuisance for some visitors was a reason to visit less frequently. In order to solve this problem they searched for the cause of this odour. This was mainly caused by the internal logistics of the incontinence with soiled clothes. After some adjustments in this process the odour problem still existed.
In particular, the transport of clothing and equipment to the storage problem was moved. When looking for a solution they looked at the current and new ventilation. Expansion was not possible, for financial and practical reasons. Because many residents sit most of the time, the temperature in the nursing is higher than normal. Opening the windows is perceived as annoying, and it is therefore not done because of the heat.

Euromate placed two VisionAir CarbonMax air cleaners in the corridor of the ward Albatross. One VisionAir air cleaner is placed in the linen room and one VisionAi2 is placed in the container storage area. They chose the CarbonMax filter because it is made up of activated carbon. This activated carbon adsorbs among others odours and gases. During the trial it became clear that the odour problem is gone. Visitors do not complain and would be happy to visit again.
In order to use the air cleaner optimally, they closed a maintenance contract. Onno van der Voorn: “Thanks to the proper functioning of the air cleaners we have no odour and stench anymore.
