Woonstede helps many starters, young families, expanding families and seniors as possible to find a place where they can relax and enjoy a good life.
Housing corporation Woonstede was struggling with air problems caused by equipment in a repro room of the modern head office. Various studies did not provide sufficient insight into the problem, but Euromate provided the solution with an air purifier.
These complaints related mainly to burning eyes and a pungent odour.
Housing Corporation Woonstede has a special print room of 38m2. In this room there are 3 laserjet printers, 1 deskjet printer and 1 copier situated. Furthermore, this space has got open closets and a mechanicalventilation via ceiling diffusers. This is an indoor space without any windows and with an open access. Using the print room led to complaints among the staff. These complaints related mainly to burning eyes and a pungent odour. Intensive research and adjustments to the printers, the mechanical ventilation and even the print paper yielded no improvements.
Objective measurement
Housing corporation Woonstede came in contact with Euromate with the request to provide advice and solutions to address these persistent symptoms. Firstly Woonstede and Euromate hired the organization RPS Analysis BV to carry out an objective measurement of the air quality to determine the direct effects of the air cleaner.
Regarding MAC values and experience figures for particulates, solid toner materials, ozone and microorganisms RPS appointed no problem fixed values. This related both to the baseline without air cleaner as well as to the post-test with air cleaner. However, a perception survey a month later revealed that employees noticed clear improvements in the air quality and physical symptoms.
The pre-filter in the air cleaner captures among others the coarse dust, hair and skin flakes.
The solution offered by Euromate’s advisor is a VisionAir air cleaner that was built into the ceiling of the print room. The pre-filter in the air cleaner captures among others the coarse dust, hair and skin flakes. The ElectroMax filter filters particles down to 0.01 micron (= 0.00001 mm). In addition, the air cleaner is equipped with a heavy activated carbon filter (OdourFree). This is especially recommended when penetrating odours appear. The OdourFree filter removes a wide spectrum of gases and odours and has a high saturation level.
Finally, the SterilAir option has been added. This option eliminates micro-organisms and can be installed at any time. Mircoorganisms (bacteria, viruses and fungi) can spread themselves in the air very quickly and pollute adjacent areas.
Visionair Blue Line
The VisionAir Blue Line air cleaner from Euromate improves indoor air quality significantly. It provides a fresh, pleasant working environment and has a positive impact on productivity and sick leave. The air is recirculated, polluted indoor air is cleaned and clean air is blown back into the room. That way no valuable heated or cooled air is lost.
