Dental-Technik Markert

"The staff is very satisfied and the equipment will be used even after the pandemic!"
Annette Markert and manager Thomas Markert
Dental-Technik Markert

Introduction Dental-Technik Markert

In 1988 Egon Markert founded Dental-Technik Markert. Since then the company has grown steadily. 12 years ago, his son Thomas joined the company as a dental technician after completing his master’s degree. Today, 30 employees work for 35 customers. The Markert laboratory has a long history of cooperation with dentists, whose goal it is to manufacture high-quality and contemporary dental prostheses for the patient.

There are very individual reasons why teeth need to be replaced. Dental-Technik Markert GmbH sees it as its task to make the replacement natural again. In doing so, they rely on functional diagnostics, the basis of modern dentistry by electronically recording the movements of the  temporomandibular joint. Guidance is provided by the holistic functional approach of Professor Dr Rudolf Slavicek, who died on New Year’s Day 2022 at the age of 93 and with whom “our associate Rudolf Slama was personally trained”, as Annette Markert explains. Prof. Slavicek enjoyed worldwide recognition and the highest reputation in the field of functional diagnostics and comprehensive interdisciplinary dentistry; his life’s work continues at the renowned Vienna School of Interdisciplinary Dentistry. With courses and further training, Dental-Technik Markert GmbH is  involved  in the “Kissinger Arbeitskreis” in the style of the Viennese School for dental functional diagnostics and the functional design of dental prosthetic lines.

The Challenge

"Even before Corona, it was always important for us to ensure good and healthy air quality in the laboratory."

When the Corona pandemic was on the rise in 2020, it was a declared goal of the Markert family to do everything possible to ensure that employees remained healthy and could do their work in a good, safe working environment. “Even before Corona, it was always important for us to ensure good and healthy air quality in the laboratory,” says Annette Markert. That’s why an extraction system was purchased over 20 years ago.

Internet research leads to Euromate

“I then searched the internet for technical solutions to remove coronaviruses from the air and render them harmless,” says Markert. “When I saw the very good and informative Euromate website and learned about it, the decision was already made. In the summer of 2020 I already contacted Euromate, and since October 2020 we have had two VisionAir MicrobeFree air cleaners.”

The Solution

"The units are optimal for us, they are so quiet that you don’t even notice them."

The units are optimal for us,” says Annette Markert. “We run them at level 3 during working hours, they are so quiet that you don’t even notice them. During the lunch break and in the evening, we put them on the highest level. The sta are very happy, happy that healthy air is being provided and keep saying so.” And after the pandemic? “The units stay and certainly don’t end up in storage!”

Professionally maintained equipment

“If we make such an investment,” Annette Markert continues, “we also want a professional service. We immediately concluded a maintenance agreement, because professional equipment also needs professional maintenance.” The first maintenance visit took place in April 2021. “The service technicians were here and did everything so quickly and professionally! We were really excited.” So excited, in fact, that they immediately ordered another unit. “In addition to the air cleaners, I also bought a CO2 traffic light. When it indicates that the air is used up, the window is opened.”

Placement in other segments

Where would you recommend to place air cleaners?

Where else would air cleaners be used?

Thinking about her experiences with the VisionAir MicrobeFree – where else would Annette Markert like to see air cleaners applied? The answer comes without hesitation: “In nursing homes! There, where there are so many old people whom you don’t want to contaminate, but also don’t want to leave alone. That’s what I would like to see, air cleaners installed in the nursing homes – and also that our day-care centres and schools and universities are finally equipped with air cleaners!”

And she has another request: “So many restaurants now have air cleaners, you eat with much more pleasure because it is safer. I would like this to be taken into account in the access regulations or when closing down restrictions are applicable.”
