Zorggroep Noorderboog offers nursing, care, treatment and home care. Noorderboog’s strength is the awareness that cooperation is the key to success. Noorderboog aims to enable people with a need for intensive care to remain living at home for as long as possible. For home care they work together with CarePool, part of the Zorggroep Noorderboog. They also offer the possibility of consultation and treatment, primarily by our (para)medics.
In addition, Zorggroep Noorderboog works together with local authorities, residential cooperatives, specialist care institutions, health insurance companies and governments. Located right in the middle of rural Diever is the Jan Thijs Seinenhof, a combined nursing home for people with physical disabilities and for people with a form of dementia or other memory disorder.

Nursing homes are homes to people who can have incontinence problems and related issues. That is also the case at the Jan Thijs Seinenhof. The facility has a washing room where incontinence material is stored. This is brought out once a week. The used bedpans are also emptied and cleaned here. The intrusive air then hung in this room. Whenever the door was opened, the unpleasant air spread through the corridor. Residents and visitors were disturbed by this.
Heine Sietsma from Zorggroep Noorderboog: “The odour nuisance is undesirable for both visitors and residents; a fresh-smelling ward would be an advantage!” Euromate had installed smoking rooms in this institution, so that the contact for overcoming this problem had already been laid.

Consultant Gerard Boomer visited the scene to assess the situation.
