THE CHALLENGE

In the Ricoh office on Magistratenlaan in ’s-Hertogenbosch complaints arose with regard to the indoor air. Bert Streppel (Ricoh): ‘A call centre with 44 workplaces has been created in a relatively small space on the second floor of our building. We’ve never had any complaints about the indoor air before, but once the call centre was opened, our employees began suffering from headaches and dry, red eyes. We also received complaints about mustiness and unpleasant odours.’ At Ricoh, the solution was initially sought in terms of temperature. This often has an impact on people’s wellbeing. Reducing the temperature turned out not to be the solution to the problems. Bert Streppel went in search of an effective solution, to ensure the staff can work well together in clean indoor air.

THE SOLUTION

“The moment we started looking for a solution, Jos Stoop of Euromate contacted us,’ says Bert Streppel. Account manager Jos was able to convince Ricoh of the effectiveness of the air cleaners. After analysing the situation, a trial placement of four VisionAir Blue Line air cleaners was proposed. This created the opportunity to test the air cleaners without any obligations. During the trial period, the indoor air quality of the call centre was significantly improved. The staff noticed a clear difference. The call centre staff are positive and very satisfied. Approximately 90% of the indoor air pollution is filtered out of the air, and they are happy with that at Ricoh! The air cleaners match the interior nicely and are neatly installed. Bert Streppel: “We also took a service contract for the periodic and timely replacement of filters. This way, we are always assured of properly functioning equipment. Maintenance is done at a time that suits us best and is always respectfully announced in advance.“
